Requirements for Registration as PEE


RULE 14 OF THE RULES AND REGULATIONS OF RA 7920

An applicant for registration as Professional Electrical Engineer (PEE) shall submit the following:

 

  1. Proof of Philippine citizenship, e.g. Certificate of Naturalization, voter’s affidavit/ID card, Philippine passport/visa.

  2. Certificate of Live Birth and/or Marriage Contract (if applicant is a married female).

  3. NBI Clearance (original).

  4. Valid Certificate of Registration and a valid Professional License (card) as a Registered Electrical Engineer (REE).

  5. Note: Valid Certificate of Registration and Valid Professional License as Assistant or Associate Electrical     Engineer will suffice.

  6. Certificate of Experience – PRC Form 104 (revised Aug.’95) duly accomplished and certified under oath. The service record shall be reckoned from the date the applicant took oath as an REE (Asst. EE or Assoc. EE). Technical Report / Thesis / Dissertation Paper.

 

The following elements of the report shall be included in the order given below:

  • Title Page
  • Letter of Transmittal
  • Preface
  • Table of Contents
  • Lists of Tables, Charts, Drawings, etc.
  • Summary
  • Conclusions/Recommendations
  • Bibliography/References
  • Affidavit of Sole Authorship
  • Affidavit of PEE 1
  • Affidavit of PEE 2
  • Affidavit of PEE 3
  • Curriculum Vitae (with ID picture)

Avoid unnecessary and irrelevant data including charts, drawings, pictures and information not referred to in the discussion of the report.

Affidavits signed by three (3) licensed PEE. The Board may call the vouching PEE for an interview in connection with the affidavit executed in favor of the applicant.
Brief description of the most significant and outstanding achievement/contribution of the applicant in the field of electrical engineering.
Note: Prior to writing the report, the applicant shall submit to the Board a summary, showing:
(a). title of the report;
(b). brief outline of the report;
(c). dates and brief description of experiences, and most outstanding achievements.

 

  1. The Board of Electrical Engineering shall then approve the summary base on subject matter, organization, technical content and presentation.

  2. If diapproved, the Board shall advise the application citing the reasons thereof. In most cases the Board advises the applicant to revise the report according to appropriate advises.

 

STEPS:

  1. Submit a proposed title and outline to the Board of EE for approval as to subject matter, organization, technical content and presentation. If disapproved, the Board shall advise the applicant citing the reasons therefore.
  2. After approval of the proposed title and outline by the Board of EE, submit all requirements for processing together with the five (5) copies of the Technical Report (TER). Four (4) which will be retained by the PRC and one (1) for the applicant.
  3. Payment of P 600.00 for the exam fee.

Any applicant who failed in the oral examination/interview shall not re-apply until after at least one (1) year from the date of notice of failure. In the re-application, rule 14 shall be observed.
